The Setup
Let’s take the family on a long-promised ski trip over the holidays. They still get snow in Utah, right? We know it won’t be cheap. Holiday pricing is 3-4x typical rates. Park City is notorious for being both expensive and sold out over Christmas and New Year’s if you wait too long. Especially if you’re looking for a larger property.

The Search
All our lodging databases can provide accommodations for a two week vacation. So we’ll check Hotels and Resorts, Weekly Resorts and Condos, and Homes and Villas.
We searched for 2 bedrooms in Park City, Utah for two weeks from December 20 to January 3 for a family of 4. We’ll find the best deal that encompasses quality lodging and price. As always, all prices include taxes and on-site resort fees due on check-in.
Hotels and Resorts
There are 71 Park City hotels available during the holiday from $201 (studio) to $7,688 per night. We liked the 5* Sundial Lodge, Park City - Canyons Village. It’s a nicer property for about the same money as 3 and 4 star resorts and they still have rooms. The 2 bedroom condo lodge was $16,920 for the trip, a savings of $3,984 or 19% off the retail price of $20,904. That’s $1,208/day, an excellent option.
Weekly Resorts and Condos
Weekly properties are typically less expensive than standard hotels but often don’t have the same amenities, such as on-site restaurants, spa, and gym.
We have 33 resorts in Utah. There is a 2 bedroom at the 3* Marriott’s MountainSide at Park City. It features an amazing special price if you’re flexible - $879 for 2 bedrooms Nov. 15-20. That’s just before the ski resort typically opens.
The holiday period price is $15,410 or $1,100 per night.
Homes and Villas
The best value will come from our selection of 117 exclusive homes and condos. There are 29 homes with 2 or more. We liked the 4* Moose Lodge Retreat condo in Park City for $16,683 for $1,191 per night. It’s a 30% savings or $7,149 off the retail price of $23,382. Just walk to the Slopes with a free Park City bus 100 feet from the building to take you to shopping and restaurants.
