Be a Smart Travel Consumer! We highly recommend these sites for cruise research, planning, and booking.
Vacation Steal. Yep, that’s this site. You did your planning. You know ship, date, itinerary, and when to book. The final step - you’re ready to buy. Make us your last call or web visit. We save 5-27% over cruise line, retail megasite, and travel agent cruise prices.
Cruise Price history sites show the price curve trajctory for current and comparable sailings. Does the ship tend to sell out? Did the price drop before the final payment date so you can get a refund or rebook? Did it drop after the final payment deadline date or near departure? The history enables you to make a smart decision on when to book. Features can include hot deals and price drop alerts.
CruiseCaptain. An excellent history site.
CruisePlum. Another good deal tracking site.
Last minute tickers - Cruise lines have to fill empty cabins and may heavily discount starting at 90 days before sailing. Find terrific steals at the history sites above, as well as VacationsToGo.
Ship information. You can find ship maps on your cruise line. But these third party sites typically have better and more info, including ship location, deck and cabin layouts, itineraries, port schedule, etc.
The Cruise Globe. Wonderful site with integrated maps to track current ship location and store and see past sailings.
CruiseMapper. Also has repositioning schedules (often half price regular fares)
Cruise Deck Plans. Use the Cabin Check Tool to find a quiet cabin.
What’s In a Port. Find cruise schedules, map, weather, and local tips and resources.
CruiseTimetables. Search ports to see how busy they will be with other docked ships.
Offline
Royal Price Tracker. Offline - Excellent idea but apparently Royal took issue with their service. You booked a trip. Now you have to think about the extras, especially with the cruise line sending you daily offers on excursions, drink and beverage packages, and other add-ons. Get price drop notifications for Royal Caribbean & Celebrity.
